Does Webroot protect for IE hi-jacker Virus

I do not recognise the threat that you are referring to...but WSA protects against a vast range of malware, keylogger, virus, etc., and does detect & report on PUAs (Potentially Unwanted Applicaitons).
 
If you can be more specific aboutthe threat then we can try to be more specific about the protection.
