Does Webroot remove the McAfee programs during installation or will I need to do that myself?
Does Webroot remove the McAfee antivirus programs during installatin; because a previous computer the Norton was not installed because McAfee prohibited installation, even though I had the Norton icon.

No, WSA does not uninstall or require that any other AV/AM or IS solution is installed before it is installed...and as far as I know McAfee should not block the installation of WSA, as WSA was designed from the ground up to be compliant/to work with the other main security software applications.
