Not quite sure exactly what you did but eitherway if your renewal is a 'real' one, i.e., you have added more time your subscription, or a 'pseudo' one, i.e., you have purchased a new version of WSA/have received a new keycode, then there is no need to download anything at all.
 
If a 'real' renewal then the time will just be added to you existing/remanining subscription, and if a 'pseudo' renewal then all you need to do is to go to the appropriate place within WSA, enter the key code and activate it, as follows:
 

 

 
Just be aware that if you have a new key code to enter then activating it starts the subscription period and if yo still have time left on your current/old key code then you will effectively 'lose' that as the two subscription will effectively be running in parallel...so yo may want to wait until the actual expiry date to enter the new key code.
