After I complete each scan, The very same information always appears!   Does this mean the scan is not working correctly?
It shows the date that I first installed Webroot; That very first scan, number of viruses, The previous information always appears!
Can ANYONE please chime in and explain this to me????
This is a new Laptop........ upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10.   Does that affect The Webroot??
I am New, This is my very first Post.  Thank you so much!

Welcome to the Webroot Communitty,

Would you please have a look here and see if this applies to you.https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/PC-Threats-Removed-Stats/ta-p/169855

Upgrading to Windows 10 shouldn't affect Webroot. Here is some information at the KB Article HERE.

Hope this helps and if not please do get back to us.
Completely agree with you Sherry. I have upgraded from Window 8.1 with WSA installed, to WIndows 10 and had no issue whatsoever as a result.

I believe that you are quite correct and that it is just the perennial issue in relation to what the statistics mean, when they are updated and when they need to be reset.

Hello @

Welcome to the community.

I think you installed Webroot in Windows 8.1 and then you have upgraded to Windows 10,

I beleive that the up-gradation from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 might not have upgraded the Antivirus settings.

What you can do is to uninstall the Antivirus completely using a software removal tool. I would recommend you using the Revo Uninstaller which you can download from the internet. It is available free and then uninstall the webroot completely and then after restarting your system you can reinstall the webroot.

I am sure the issue will be resolved

Thank you Richard.  As many times as I have used the Geek Squad on-line tech repair and computer remote feature, The tech inside my system doing a sweep and cleaning should know if if it's up-to-date or not Right?
I have a 2 year plan.  What do you think?

Hi ?

I do agree wth you but at times there are different technicians who are working with you. The normal questions that can be asked from you is about the issue that you are facing. and the technicians try to resolve the issue as it is the primary concern.

Few technicians are there who do have a habit of checking and making sure that everything else in the system is also running fine as you system might be requiring an optimization or cleanup.

It totally depends upon you, how you interact and how you explain the problem to the technician. Now as far as my knowledge goes. I always try to train people in order to ask a lot of questions from the subscriber (customer) in order to figure out the exact issue that the person is facing. If you have a 2 year support plan it is good. and do not try to call any other number apart from the technical support number that has been provided to you as your call can land up to the technical support scam companies and they can try to force you to purchase additional subscriptions.

You enjoy and if at any point of time you have a question about anything. you can always send me a message and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Regards,

Richard

Hi Lexi-1234

It is very simple really; if one has WSA from Best Buy/The Geek Squad then the first port of call for any issue that may be security-related is The Geek Squad Support Line, and if they need to they will pass you onto the Webroot Support Team.

If you have WSA purchased from anywhere else then Best Buy/The Geek Squad then the Webroot Support Team is your first port of call (unless you have decided to try the Community to see if we can help). The service is free of charge for any WSA user with an active license/subscription...something worse remembering.
