I'm about to install Webroot on a pc that already has antivirus software on it. Do I need to uninstall that software before installing Webroot? Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Yes it's best to, can you tell me which AV and I can point you to there uninstaller as some of them are hard to remove all related files. See here for a list of AV uninstallers and if yours is not listed let us know: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie/Software-Removal-Tools/td-p/27608 and here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie-KB/3rd-Party-Software-Removal-Tools/ta-p/204388

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick reply! Existing AV is AVG Free 2015 (on the list). I fully intend to remove the old AV but was a little concerned about doing so before Webroot was installed and protecting the computer.

See here for some info about WSA's WIN Cloud: http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php and it classifies over 200,000 new files per day.
