Hello nabco,

Welcome to the Webroot Community Forrum,

Installing Webroot will get rid of all existing malware and prevent new ones.

Instead of me saying anything it's best to read it for yourself: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Scanning-PC-suspiciously-fast/m-p/... also the Webroot WIN Cloud does all the work not your PC: http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php

Please look at this video https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/What-Happens-if-Webroot-quot-Misses-quot-a-Virus/ta-p/33374

Also with a Webroot Subscription you get free Support and you can't get that anywhere can you?

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Hi, everything seems to be back to normal, also installed it on one of my wife's laptops that was unusable because of malware and it seems to have fixed that one too....very nice.

I do have an issue though, I;m getting an error on start-up that appears to be trying to launch a .exe file, I'm sure it is the remnants of somethng malicious....any thought on getting rid of it....see attached screen shot

Probably a leftover autorun key from some malware that was removed.  If you're not comfortable digging around to remove it, you can always contact our support for help:
