External hard drive's processes not scanned

When I try to scan an external hard drive by right clicking and clicking scan with webroot, only the files are scanned, processes are marked as not scanned.

This also occurs when I scan my internal hard drive by right clicking it and clicking scan with webroot, but if I open webroot and click scan my computer processes are scanned.

So is there a way to scan my external hard drive's processes?
Note: I have the trial version of webroot
Thanks very much for your help!
