Hi Community

How do I get Fire Fox to work again with Webroot? I kept getting a notice saying something-don't remember, then I couldn't pull it up at all and got an error messages saying something about ---
Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible---.
I have tried all that I know how to do which is not much. I have reinstalled Fire Fox, but I keep getting the above message.
Mozella says it is Webroots issues, but I have never had a problem like this before.
This started a few months ago and then I lost it all together over a month ago and had to start using internet explorer. Now my computer runs slow and hangs up all the time. I can't open more than 1 window without it freezing up. My computer is only about 4 months old.

Is there something you can do to help me get fire fox back up and running smoothly so I can get off this IE?

thank you,
Very much,
Jewel

Hi Jewel2000

In terms of the message that you are getting in respect of Firefox please take a look at this thread from the Mozilla SUpport forums which may be of assistance.  Let us know if it helps at all.

With regard to the computer slowing down...are you seeing another strange behaviour such as redirected searches, popups appearing when you do not expect them, etc.

Also, would please open the Task Manager (right click on the notification bar at the bottom of the desktop and select Task Manage.  Once that displays make sure that you are in detail mode, if running WIndows 8 or above (not necessary for Wiindows 7) and click on the Processes tab.  When that is open in turn double click on (i) column entitled 'CPU & (i) then theone entitled 'Memory'...you are looking to diplay the largest consumers of (i0 CPU  and then (ii) Memory. In the case of each make a note of the top 5 processes running together with (i) the CPU usage & (ii) the Memory usage, and then post back here and we will see if that highlights anyting strange running on your system.
