I keep getting this error on all my web browsers every time I attempt to connect to the internet.  I know it is a firewall issue but cannot figure out how to correct it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  The error reads

[Kanar] The socket connetion to detail.webrootcloudav.com failed.  A Firewall may be blocking Kanar's traffic.
Error Code: 10013.
An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions 176.34.185.182:80

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am very sorry to hear about this issue you are experiencing.

Please have a look here at the PC User Guide for Webroot Firewall/Managing Active Connections

I would also advise creating a support case so that the technical support team can take a look at this issue for you free of charge encase there is more going on then the Firewall.

Hi Again ?,

I was thinking you might want to do a clean reinstall of Webroot just to see if it's Webroot?

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,
