Forced Minimization - Schedule task(s) conflict with Webroot on Windows 7

So, for a few months now, my Webroot SA has had conflicts with my Epson printer shceduled tasks, these tasks are created by default by epson driver installers and also when Windows installs those drivers for you.

What happens is that during a full screen program (Game, Movie, etc) it will force minimise when the scheduled task is set.
It is very annoying - fortunately there was a quick workaround:  disable those conflicting tasks.

This hasn't been solved however, months later, same issue, with a different Epson printer.
The scheduled task is to search for updates for the drivers. Im not sure why it is just affecting Epson only...
Anyway, I just wanted to inform you guys that the bug is still there.

To users with the same issue:
  1. Identify when your Full-screen program minimises (immediately check the clock)
  2. Match the time with any running/active scheduled tasks in Task Scheduler - my case were the Epson Software Updates tasks, not essential to me
  3. Disable said tasks.

Hi tvard

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If you have the potenteial causes down pat then your best bet to get this resolved would be to Open a Support Ticket to let the Support Team know of the issue and so that they cvan investigate this.  The opening of the ticket will automatically upload the Threat & Scan Logs for your system, and from that the Support Team should be able to see if there are any files/apps related to what you are reporting that need to be whitelisted in the Webroot Cloud, so as to resolve the issue if it is one caused by WSA 'over protecting' .

It may not be related to this but at least if it is not then you will know and can work on other avenues re. getting a resolution.
