My friend’s email was hacked.  I got an email from the hacker.  Does this make my computer in danger of being hacked?  Does my webroot protect me in this case?

Hello @vwmusashe

The best thing to do is to delete the email and don’t take the chance and open any attachments! No AV will protect 100% of the time so with Webroot and common sense you should be safe. If you want a free security check just Submit a Support Ticket and they will check for you!

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue. A reply from Support should take from 24 to 48 hours but could take a little longer because of COVID 19 and the Webroot Employees are busy working from home.

Thanks,
