I recently installed Windows 7 Pro from an XP Professional machine.  It seem that a great number of scripts on running a great deal (as my disk acess light is either solidly on or quickly blinking) - and I would like to be able to see what scripts are running - what process started the script - AND be able to stop specific scripts from running - and maybe even prevent them from every running.

Hello boba123,

Welcome to the Community,

You can go here ..http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/window-internet-explorer-stop-running-this-script/38f72040-31ea-40eb-a2f4-c8acc9430e47

What browser are you using? If using IE,

Script error debugging and notifications are turned off by default. If they have been turned on, follow these steps to turn them off again.
 1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
 2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
 3. Click the Advanced tab, select the Disable script debugging Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes.
 4. Clear the Display a notification about every script error check box, and then click OK.
Please let us know if this helps or not and so we can further assit you with more alternatives

EDIT, @ or @ can you add to this?
