For some reason they just stop working after my computer has been on for a while. Is webroot still working while it does this?

Hello ?

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you please do a uninstall reinstall of Webroot? It'll only take about 5 minutes!

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Thank you @Ssherjj I had another question in that case. After installing it mentioned the identity protection and how webroot should have a lock on it when its active. Chrome (my normal browser) is shown in the application protection but never once have i ever seen this lock on the icon. Whats up with that?

Hello ?,

I do have a padlock on my Webroot Icon using Chrome. So I am not sure why you don't have this.

This is usually a cosmetic issue. Typically the shield itself is actually working fine but the icon is not showing up properly in the system tray.

The padlock icon only appears when the browser is on an https page to protect your identity. Here is a Forum Reply with a bit more information on the Padlock.

The User Guide also has some information Here

In the event it turns out to be more than a cosmetic issue in your case, you should open a support ticket here.

Hope this helps,

? do you have any infomation relating to this?

Could it be related to the toolbar issue i faced last night? Burndaddy told me to apply the toolbarfix.

For the fix go here

But let's see what ? says.

This has nothing to do with the Toolbarfix tool and therefore running it will have no effect.
