How do i input the 20 character code to update my service
I bought the update and was told to go to advanced settings but I saw no place to enter the code

Weclome to the Community Forums.
Just click on the gear/cog to the right of the 'My Account' tab in the main WSA panel and you should see the field on the planel displayed, with an 'Activate' button just below it.
