Hello beeboomail55.

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Part 1: Turn off Webroot SecureAnywhere

 1. Locate the SecureAnywhere icon in your system tray.
 2. Right-click the system tray icon and select Shut down Protection.
 3. A prompt confirming whether you want to shut down appears. Click Yes.
 4. Depending on your settings, you may have to complete a CAPTCHA for confirmation as well.
 5. Once Webroot is shut down, attempt to install or update the third-party program in question.
6. If disabling Webroot software does not allow the installation/update to complete, please contact technical support for the third-party software vendor.
 7. If the installation/update is successful after disabling Webroot, please proceed to Part 2.
To restart Webroot SecureAnywhere, open the Windows Start menu, click All Programs (or Programs), Webroot SecureAnywhere, then Webroot SecureAnywhere again.
