I had a problem at startup that was traced to a missing dll in the webroot bundle -- something was apparently corrupted and I needed to uninstall and reinstall the software. But the normal uninstall failed. It just took me to Webroot's web site for a "survey". Once I completed the survey I found that the darn thing was still there. The uninstaller does absolutely nothing.
I found on the web a video that talks about exactly this problem. That pointed to the WRUpgradeTool.exe "un-installation and cleanup tool." I ran that, but quickly found that too does nothing.
HOW DOES ONE REMOVE WEBROOT AND ALL TRACES THEREOF FROM A WINDOWS 7 MACHINE?
So far, all I can think of is to format the hard drive and start over from scratch. But that is a royal PITA!
How do you remove Webroot and all traces thereof from your computer?

Please see this KB Article with information as to how to uninstall WSA 'manually'. Do not worry too much about the title but look to use the command line option for uninstallation which can be used in cases such as your.

I'm having this same problem. The KB article is not helpful; all three methods described have the same effect - I'm asked to confirm that I want to uninstall, then I am taken to a survey in Interenet Explorer. Completing the one-page survey and pressing "Submit" just causes the blank survey page to be reloade - over and over and over again. Meanwhile uninstall does not proceed - as if it is waiting for IE to tell it that I have completed the survey but it never does.

When you run the commandline instruction are you doing it from a command prompt WITH ELEVATED RIGHTS, i.e., running as an adminstrator? If not then I would try that first (let us know if you need guidnace on how to do that).
If that does not work then you can try booting into Safe Mode and running eithe the normal uninstaller or command line from there...but please notnthat this needs to be in Safe Mode WITH NETWORKING rather than plain Safe Mode.
Try these and if they don't work then you should Open a Support Ticket to get the Support Team involved to help you remove WSA.
