how to stop popup tabs

To whom it may concern:
 
I am using chrome for access to the web
 
sometimes when I click for a new website OR when I am in a website
 
I get the new tabs. chrome chreats a new tab and/or a tab window withn the page I am looking at
 
I am using the current extensions : AD blocker Plus and Pop up blocker pro and I still get these pop up tabs
 
Please advise

    Welcome to the Webroot Community,
     
     
    My advise would be to uninstall Chrome and do a clean reinstall of Google Chrome.
    because I have not heard of this issue before. Sounds like a Browser Hyjacker which leads me to believe you might have a /or PUAs.
     
    This will give you a fresh start. I am not sure if you want to do that or not and reinstall your extensions again?
     
    EDIT: You can reset Chrome instead by looking here
     
    Some of us use uBlock Origin instead of AdBlocker Plus. But that's up to you.
     
    Now you can always Submit a Support Ticket if you feel you have a threat and they can check your system out free of charge with a Webroot susbcription
