Hello there, welcome to the Community!

There is a chance that the software failed to correctly save your new key code.  I have seen it do this here and there, and if that is what happened it is easy to fix.

  • Open WSA
  • Click the 'gear tool' next to My Account
  • Enter your new key code in the box
  • Click Activate
  • REBOOT.  Do not scan or do anything else, just reboot.

See if this helps!

Have you tried a Clean Install?

Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Also, where did you purchse your new key code? Online? (If so, directly from Webroot or was it a different website?) or in a store?

Hi regnidd

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may suggest an alternative approach?...if you had a previous subcription and you have since taken out a NEW subcription, i.e.e, you have received a NEW keycode rather than having time added to the original keycode, then the expiry warning is most likely due to the original keycode rather than the NEW keycode. Entering a new keycode does not cancel the previous keycode or negate it continuing to try to remind yo to renew it.

My guess is the messages will continue for a while and then eventually stop...if that causes you a problem then I would recommend that you Open a Support Ticket and get the Support Team to cancel your previous subscription/keycode.

Regards, Baldrick
