Why does Webroot automatic renewal cost more than an online renewal. I have emailed customer support but did not get an answer. Also what is the incentive to purchase 2 years when it costs more?

They call that Marketing. All or most security software company's do it. In the years that I have been buying security software I always opt out of Auto Renewal. I shop stores or on the internet for deals on the software. When WSA first came out I bought 3 boxes of Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete (Now called Internet Security Complete) from the Naval Base Store. Each box was 15 months at $30.00. Shop around for a deal. Buy from a reputable dealer. I would stay away from eBay.

Exactly what Dave said. Stay away from eBay! Also avoid some of the Chinese retailer site that offer software at unbelievable prices. They are unbelievable for a reason. Bad, bad, bad.
