I have AVG on my computer should I discard it know that I use webroot?
Should I get rid of AVG now that I am using webroot?

A simple answer for you, Yes. I have only used Webroot for about 3 years now with nothing else, I have just not needed anything else, Webroot has done a great job of keeping my PC problem free.

I'd like to second that as I have used Webroot for almost 2 years now and virus free, there is nothing better.
