I just received an email from Microsoft saying my account was compromised and to change my password.
Is this a phishing scam or is it legit? I ran a scan with weebroot and no threats were detected.

Sounds like a phishing scam to me.As long as you didn't click on any link,or enter and info,you should be just fine.

+13Also,as best practice,it's always best to go directly to a given site to make changes,either banks,microsoft,etc.Never click on a link in an email.My wife has fallen for a few over the years.
