This is my problem I can sign in to "MY ACCOUNT" with no problem and then I want to go to Web Root's community and they require a sign in and it always turns out to be differant than "MY ACCOUNT"!!! I'm constantly changeing passwords!! Why can't we have ONE " User Name & Password for both???  Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Hi bearsrose

The email address (it cannot be a username perse...it must be an email address) & password that you log into you online console cannot be changed and is the one that you registered with Webroot when setting up your console/purchasing your subscription for WSA.

However, your credentials for accessing the Community, your username & password are easier to change...but having said that I would never advise making the two sets one and the same ( would never use an email address as a username)...it is just a matter of good security not to do so. Personally, I do not find it much of an issue myself as I do not tend to log into the web console very often...there really is no need.

Thanks for answering so quickly!! But I guess I answered my own question by separating the two and having differant sign ons!! Sometimes it takes a while to sink in!! LOL 🙂 But again thanks for answering so quickly!!

Hi bearsrose

I suspect that you are just like the vast majority of us in having username/password on one hand and then email address/password on the other...and as I said before...it is best security practice that never the twain shall become one...I mean what is the point of offering up your email address on a plate to potential miscreants to attempt to misuse/hack, etc.
