I had to reinstall webroot and now I no longer have the option to permanately erase a file. Also, although webroot pops up when I click the icon, it no longer appers in my list of programs in the Control Panel

Hello bogiefan54,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Looks like you willl need to make a uninstall/clean reinstall of Webroot.

Here is a KB Article showing how to do this when Webroot is missing from the Control Panel.

After following these steps then you should be able to reinstall Webroot. Here is information below:

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online the install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot

If you need further help then you can always submit a Support Ticket and they will look into this for you free of charge with a Webroot subscription,

Hope this helps?
