Welcome to the Webroot Community
In answer to your questions, You do not need the original CD to install the software. you can download Webroot onto the device from your webroot security console. Just make sure it is connected to the Internet at all times during the installation and initial scan, then activate the product when promoted by entering the product keycode you received via email when your purchased / renewed your subscription.
