I ran an MBR check because I have something running in the background that uses all available memory

The memory useage lasts for about 1 second, and happens every 10 seconds. The MBR is ok, but the program highlighted the following. "Service wrkrn C:windowssystem32driverswrkrn.sys **LOCKED** 32". Is this some type of virus? I ran a web root scan, and an anti trojan software scan called trojan hunter. Both came up negitive for viruses.
