I have been using webroot for a couple of years. I purchased webroot for 3 devices online recently when my subscription was running out (not from Best Buy). I am trying to install it on a second computer. Used the instructions I found here and on the webroot site. Downloaded installer, double click it, just comes back to to same webroot main block in red that says your subscription has run out. Never comes up with a page for installing new key code.
So went to red main block clicked on my account and entered new key code and activate. Ran for awhile and just came back to main block in red with expired subscription. Entered key code again came back with error saying unrecognized code. Went to my other computer and checked keycode, I wrote it down and entered it correctly.
How do you get the installer or main block to work to enter subscription?

Make sure the new keycode is in your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console

- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- Be sure you have or add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
- KEEP the computer online during the install to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE). Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
- Install with the new installer, entering your Keycode when prompted to do so in the install process
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot

That is the same instructions posted everywhere. That is the same thing I have been trying (six or seven times) and the results is what I get in my first post.
+56It would be best then to Contact Webroot Support and ask them to look into the new Keycode! May I ask where you purchased it from? Would it be a reseller or from eBay? Some try to dump old stock Boxes at cheap prices but turn out to be no good in the first place as they were deemed to be destroyed.

Bought it online download thru walmart. it loaded OK on my other computer and gave me 365 day subscription.
I got it to work finally by taking a copy of the downloaded Webroot file to install Webroot from my other computer and using it instead of the one that is posted in the instructions here.
I talked to Webroot and they said nothing wrong with the subscription, should work and it did.

I think this then begs the question: Are the downloads provided by Walmart or other retailers somehow different than the downloads we provide here? I was under the impression that they were all the same. Maybe ? can shed some light on this?

Thanks, Nic. That's what I thought. Not sure why it didn't install, but this is the first time I've heard of such a problem so hopefully it was just a random hiccup. Hope you're enjoying Tucson!
