Webroot appears to be causing my internet connection to continually restart or reset at least a dozen times a day. Sometimes it does it once and I have connection back after 20 seconds and other times I have waited for up to 15 minutes before I can use the internet again.
The only way I can get continual and uninterrupted internet connection is to disable Webroot entirely. I have changed my DNS setup from “auto” to manual and am using Google’s DNS servers.
I have also removed WR and reinstalled - same result.
Has anyone else experienced this - I cannot seem to find it in the various threads posted here.

Hi mborgeaud
So forum may be able to help.
What operating system are you running?
If you are running Windows when you uninstalled did you delete all the user data before the reinstall?
I have never seen Webroot affect my Internet on any device so it’s best to contact Webroot Support as @SXR6 has suggested but I don’t think it’s a Webroot issue maybe contact your ISP and ask them.
Thanks,
Thanks for replying - I may not have expressed things well. When I say “internet restarting” I did not mean that it causes my modem or internet stream coming from it to restart, but that it causes my computer to cut me off from that stream. Whether it is continually causing the restart the adapator, I really do not know. It has taken me a few months to work out that it was Webroot, as I have no problem when I disable Webroot. As soon as I disable it my computer connects back to the internet and is stable.
In response to your other questions - I am using Windows 11 Pro and no, I did not remove the user data when I removed and reinstalled WR.
Thanks for your help - I will lodge a Support Ticket.

That is best and thanks for the update!

Is it an Ethernet or WiFi adaptor that is restarting?
I am not sure which - how can I tell?
I lodged a support ticket online and they have asked me to call them. I did that yesterday and I am just waiting for a call back.

Are you connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable from the Modem/Router to the device?
Sorry - I am connected by Ethernet - when the computer’s connection drops out and I go to Network & internet settings it sometimes shows as below. The ethernet cable is new and stable and this all goes away as soon as I disable WR

Hello @mborgeaud
Please keep in contact with Webroot Support on this to see what they come up with and please let us know the outcome!
Thanks,
We are investigating an issue with Intel Nic adapters I219-V and I219-LM. What we are investigating appears to be what is reported here. If you are experiencing this issue and have a different adapter please reply and let us know.
Thanks, Brad

Thanks for the info @BradW
Brad - I can confirm that my computer has the 1219-LM - per snip below
Thanks again. I still haven’t had a return call from Australian support. I will try again.
