Hello kevin2241, welcome to the Webroot Community!

Antivirus/Antimalware is the primary function of ALL versions of Webroot SecureAnywhere.

Various versions of WSA also have additional features such as Secure Password Management, Data Backup, etc, but the prime function is still as AV/AM.

I hope this helps, but if you have any questions please let us know!

Hi @ Welcome to the forum!

"Malware" is a generic term to refer to all types of computer viruses, trojans, ransomware, worms, scareware, etc. Malware is used more recently as the threat landscape has evolved to much more than viruses.

Pretty much all common "antivirus" programs are acually "antimalware" programs. Antivirus is just the name that has stuck from years ago.
