Is Today's Password Protection Update Actually from Webroot?

When I signed on to Firefox, I got a message that Webroot wanted to install a new password protection program.  How can I be sure that this is legit?

It's legit - Firefox now requires extensions to be approved by them, so you can trust updates like this.

    How about Chrome?  I didn't get any update to the Firefox extension but I did for Chrome and was wondering the same thing.  Thanks!
