Is WSA usable with Amazon Fire 5th generation?

Google play store indicates it is not compatible with the device. However, posts from 2013 in this forum indicate it is. Is there a workaround? Purchased Webroot Internet Security Complete.

App works thru Amazon on that device, but not Google. Weird.
