Keep getting a pop up that says to update 'Google'. Is this legitimate, never got before.

Welcome to the Webroot Community!
To check manually if therre is an update to Google Chrome, go to Menu button on the left and open up about and let Google search for an update if needed. Chrome will tell you if it needs an update or if you have the latest version.
See if that popup goes away and get back to us if it doesn't ok?
Edited Are you talking about the Google search engine? Yes it will pop up asking you to update.
