They say 5 or 9 days ago when I last did it yesterday. Also I have to give permission for Webroot to update my computer every day at startup.
I've seen recommendations that I remove and reinstall webroot. is that necessary? I don't know how to do that.

I would undertake the uninstall/clean install you have mentioned. Just let us know if you need the instructions for this...it is quite simple and quick to do.
