I am on a MAC with OS Catalina and Webroot does not appear to be working recently. It scans for hours and hours and hours with no end in sight and does not stop. Additionally, it won't remove the infected files. Webroot will also run multiple scans at once, which I have to delete so that only one is running.

It would be advised to ensure that you remove the checkbox in Advanced settings for scanning mounted drives as that will help. You can also check your scheduled scan settings and either turn it off completely or set it to run once a week.
Suffice to say the current MAC offering is a hot mess. I’ve spoken with the dev team multiple times and have brought our concerns to them.
They let it languish too long and have assured me that more resources will be going into the MAC side of things.
If all else fails, just remove it for now.
