Mac OS 10.15 freezing and involuntary restart with Webroot scan

Since the Mac OS 15.5 update the desktop freezes and then restarts after Webroot runs a scan. This is very inconvenient and frustrating.

What can be changed to stop this?

I submitted a ticket 4 days ago. No response from Support. Is this wait time normal for Webroot. Please advise as the issue is obstructing my work.
