My computer screen "cracked" like a broken windshield.
My screen has a picture over the article I was reading (in a newspaper) like a rock had broken my windshield. I was able to turn the internet off. Help!

I have been doing some research into this and can find little or no reference to a real virus that does this but have found reference to a website that takes over your computer's screen to make the computer appear, to an untrained eye, completely unusable, and I am wondering if by any chance you may have inadvertently stumbled on it (I won't post the url here but can provide it if you private message me).
WSA's Web Filtering Extension should have warned you about accessing the site given that it classifies it as:
Malicious software threat:This site might contain links to viruses or other software programs that can reveal personal information stored or typed on your computer to malicious persons.
But it is just possible that you have managed to get on it, etc.
In case this is the cause I would reboot your system and see if the issue persists. And if it does then I would Open a Support Ticket so that the SUpport Team can take a look at this for you. The service if free of charge for WSA users with an active/current subscription.
Please do let us know how this pans out for you.
