My laptop was stolen before I registered my Webroot. Can I locate it from another computer?
My laptop was stolen before I registered my Webroot. I have now registered it but when I want to add the PC to my account it wants me to install it on a computer that doesn't have Webroot and I do not want to disable my Norton. I want to trace the computer and locate it somehow. Can anyone help?
Just for verification... what you posted sounds confusing. I have it installed but i don't have it installed.
You should just have to wait a while for it to populate the stolen computer to the account... This makes a couple of assumptions
- You have webroot installed on the computer that was stolen using a registration key that wasn't registered to any account
- you then registered the key to an account
- and you the key to a console as well and now it's asking you to install it on a computer.
