Hello Team; I tried to print a bank statement last week. It is stuck on that copy and I have tried to cancel, refresh and turn off and on to no avail? I ran a scan and it shows no problems with my desktop? Can you help?

Hi Beverly and welcome to the community.  Sorry you are haveing these issues.

There are a few things you can check.

You can check to see if the printer process or ports are being blocked

View and or change active connection Block/Allow status:

  • Double click on the Webroot icon on the desktop or icon try to bring up the main Webroot interface.
  • Click the Cog/Gear icon located to the right side of the PC Security tab.
  • On the Scan and Shields Tab find the Shields Firewall Heading on the top right side.
  • At the bottom of the Scan and Shields Heading click on View Active Connections.
  • When the Active Connections screen opens you can scroll through the processes and Addresses/Ports and manage them through the Allow or Block radio button controls for each item.

Look for printer applications specific to your printer manufacturer and system processes (ie: In the case of HP - HPNetworkCommunicator.exe, ePrint, or for the system - Spooler) and Allow them if they are Blocked.

Managing active connections:

You can also view and Control Active Processes found under Utilities Tab.
While trying to print:
  • Click on the Gear/Cog on the right side Utilities.
  • Click on the System Control tab.
  • Under control Active Processes click the Start button at the bottom.
Again, look for any printer applications and system applications or DLLs.

Let us know how it goes or if you need any additional assistance,
Dave

Hi beveryspecial

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I take it that the print that you are referring to is still showing as printing, and most probably preventing other prints from being done?  I doubt it is anything to do with WSA, and if that is the case then the best thing to do is to 'flush' the print spooler...to do that please look at this thread from the Micfrosoft Support forums as it offers a number of options to sort this out.

If the requirements are a little too technical for you then please Private Message me and I will send you some alternative instructions that you can try.

Regards, Baldrick
