my web root has found 9 threats. how do i get rid of them? isnt this what webroot is suppose to do?

First, make sure of what stat is being reported... Is it reporting that there are still threats active? Take a look HERE for a brief explantation of the threat stats.
If there are indeed Active Threats still remaining, please continue.
While WSA does usually automatically remove threats that are found, as with all AV solutions sometimes it is not able to. There are a couple of options for dealing with unremoved Active Threats:
1) Reboot to Safe Mode with Networking and scan again. Often malware that cannot be removed in normal mode can be removed in Safe Mode
2) If Safe Mode does not work, submit a Trouble TIcket to have Webroot Support help you with it. This is a free service with your paid WSA license.
