I tried to get the Geek Squad to fix my slow computer, but they could not help on line .  So I tried to run webroot and it stops scaning at about 45%. I have tried several times with the same results. Any ideas on how to get Webroot to work?

Hello and welcome to the Community.

Please try a CLEAN install of Webroot and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

If this does not work, you may need to submit a Trouble Ticket to have Webroot Support take a look at it. Support is a free service for those with a valid license, but of course if the clean install works that would be much quicker.

Please let us know how you get along on this, and if the clean install helps!
