Recently when I tried to open Webroot a box popped up that said "An error has occurred" and I cannot get Webroot to open. I then tried to uninstall the program, but it gets halfway through and it freezes up. Is there any way to remove it from my computer?

Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Sorry to hear about your issues with Webroot.

Do you want to keep Webroot and I can help you uninstall and reinstall again?

Have you gone to Programs/Webroot/Tools/Uninstall? Please do that if possible.

Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely! This is for a PC not a Mac.

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
If this fails Please look here http://www5.nohold.net/Webroot/Loginr.aspx?pid=10&login=1&domain=887&usertext=how%20do%20I%20uninstall%20webroot

Then if you still are having problems you can always submit a Support Ticket and they will resolve this for you free of charge.

Hope this helps,

Kind Regards,
