New to Webroot

Hello, 
I am new to Webroot and was wondering, what does the Webroot Filtering Extension do?  I have been having issues with an error message ("Aw snap......) and in Googling the issue, says to disable extensions.  Not sure if I want to do this.

    It lets you know if you are going to a potentially malicious site, but looking up sites in our reputation database.  We've been having some performance issues with it lately, so if you wouldn't mind could you contact our support so we can gather your logs for research?

    You can turn it off temporarily if you're having problems.

      Hi the Web root filter tells you if the website is safe and virus free hope this helps

      I am not so sure it is Webroot. I was on my laptop and was having the same issue and that had Norton on it. I just didn't know if it would be safe to turn off.

      Yes there are some issues with the Web Filter can you please run Webroot’s Log Gathering Tool and put your email address in it and after it's finished uploading then Submit a Support Ticket with the same email address and put in the ticket WSAlogs have been uploaded for the BrightCloud Team. And if you have any further questions feel free to ask!
