I just purchased and installed Webroot.  There is no icon to click.  What now?

Hello there, welcome to the Community!

There are several options for showing or not showing the icon in WSA.  Have you checked the following places?

  • Desktop
  • Start Menu
  • System Tray (near the clock)
If the Desktop and Start Menu icons are not there, but WSA is showing in the System Tray, you can right click on the System Tray icon and select "Open SecureAnywhere"

After that, please click the Advanced Settings button at the upper right.  The screen that shows has the different options.  You can select to add the icon to the Desktop and the Start Menu here.

If you have no icons at all, even in the System Tray, you might want to do a "clean install" of the software.  Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?
