My wife and I have been getting several of these warnings for the last week or so - on religious (Catholic) sites we have visited for years, with no problems. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know exactly what "not secure" means, in this context?

For example, the site http://www.usccb.org - home page of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Well, I guess I've just answered my own question. I get the warning on every site that is "http" and do not get the warning for "https" - and instead of the warning there is an assuring graphic of a lock by the URL. "Secure"! And I never knew. Encrypted to protect data transfers, I think.
