PADLOCK NOT SHOWN

In the past, whenever  they firefox browser was running, a padlock symbol would appear on the secureanaywhere symbol (bottom right corner of the screen).  Now, the padlock has disappeared, although when I move the mouse pointer over the secureanaywhere symbol , the word  "Protected" pops up. Am I still protected ?
Anyone knows something?

Hello dipolichro  and welcome to the community forums.

Your browser should be automatically protected by Webroot via Identity Protection. To make sure that it is, click on the gear to the right of Identity Protection on the main interface, then click on the Application Protection  tab and check whether your browser is listed. If for some reason it is not showing, then you can manually add it.

If it is there and the lock does not display when you are using your browser, then try restarting your browser to see if that restores the lock.

If that fails, then you may need to reinstall Webroot. However, as long as your browser is showing as Protected in the Application Protection table, then you ARE protected, regardless as to whether the lock displays or not.

Regards

Hi dipolichro,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

?may I just add to your great post? My Padlock was missing and I did have it in the Application Protection. When I rebooted my laptop. The padlock appeared. Just an idea?;)

Hi ?

Thanks for the helpful input.:D

Sounds as though rebooting may solve the issue based on your experience. It's not something I think  of much as I regularly reboot anyway.  Hopefully we will hear from ? as  to the outcome.

Hi there Nemo!

I went days without my padlock and not sure if this happened after FF update to 44.0 or something else. I kept looking and adding to the Application but a no go since it was already there. I rarely reboot my laptop so I did and the padlock came back.:D
