I’m trying to restore a file that went to quarantine that I know is OK because I often use it. When I do that, a small dialog pops up that says Webroot, an opentext company and asks me to enter my password. I have tried every password I have - from the community forum to the opentext login, to the password that is used when I want to open a new support ticket (which asks for characters according to their numbered position). None work. They are all rejected as “wrong password”. WTF does it want? I know I have done this before without being asked for a password. I’m not sure which product. It’s Webroot. I think the home edition, but not certain. It says CE 25.3 version 9.0.40.53.

Hello @silvanet

I would suggest getting in contact with Webroot Support to solve this problem. They will know what’s happening and why you’re getting “Wrong Password” reply.

Support: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/about/contact-us

Business Support: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/business/support/contact

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue.

Hello @silvanet

Maybe you or someone using your system set a local password within the Webroot Client? I never used that option but have a look and let us know. Also if it is set and you don’t know the password follow what @ProTruckDriver said above and contact support.
