Afternoon all. First post here.

I just spent a little bit longer than expected removing a Pua.adware.gen virus that was a bit nasty to webroot. Has anyone else had any issues with this bug?

It created over 8K folders in AppData/Roaming with a oftuget.dll file in each folder. It took 3 sweeps and at one point the Webroot console turned solid white and locked up! Very strange behavior. Anyway, after rebooting I ended up deleting the roaming folder with Webroot and everything was cleaned off.

Anyone else seen this?

Hello Jimmy, welcome to the Communityh!

I have not had anything quite like that happen on my own system, but we do see others post here from time to time with a rough removal.  Most of the time WSA removes things pretty easily, but some of them are just really difficult.

Glad that things are back to normal for you now!
