Random scans

I have scans scheduled for 8 pm and it works just fine, takes 2 minutes or less, however during the day for the last week at random times Webroot will run a scan that takes just under 2 hours.

Is this related to a problem Webroot has found or something in the settings I may have missed?

Hello @

Welcome to the Community Forum,

This doesn't sound normal for Webroot.

EDIT:Can you tell me what settings you have set by going here to the PC User Guide . Is it a Deep, Full Normal or Quick?

Would you mind uninstalling and doing a clean install of Webroot to see if this is the problem. It should only take you 5 minutes. Ok?

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

Thank you, Sherry

Will do a clean install and see if that resolves the problem.
