is there a problem with the real time shields for macOS

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am running Webroot on my Mac OS X El Capitan and I am not having any issues with the Realtime Shields. Can you provide more information regarding this?

Here is the Mac User Guide

Also if you are having issues the you can always Submit a Support Ticketfree of charge with your active Webroot subscription. They would gladly assist to resolve any problems that you are having.
