I've read the solutions here and have set my programs to 'Allow' or removed the program from the list and Webroot still blocks copy/paste in several programs I use. It seems any program that is from an 'Unknown' publisher will get blocked, including ones I build myself.
I'm fine with the program securing my system but when I tell it to ignore a particular program, why won't it remember what I want??
This is getting really old and I see nothing on these boards that makes me think it's going to change soon. Any update or do I need to take another look at kaspersky?
Realy getting tired of cut/paste problems

Sorry to hear of your issue and that it is leading you to consider leaving the Webroot fold. :(
In terms for the cut/paste problems, I assume that you are setting the override of 'Allow' under the Identity Protection Shield? If that is the case then please try using the 'Protected' option instead to override...I have found with copy or cut/past issues that generally the app/file concerned should be set as that rather than 'Allow'.
If you are finding that your settings are being overriden then please let us know as it is possible that you need to go to your online console and change a setting so that the setting made in the client are managed locally rather than from there. I won't provide instructions for that unless you need them.
Finally, in terms of 'ignoring a particular program'; if WSA is not doing so once so instructed, and this can happen wish programs authopred by users, I would Open a Support Ticket to advise the Support Team of the programs concerned and ask them to whitelist them for you...that should go towards resolving the issue in the longer term.
I do hope that something in the above is of assistance and helps to convince you to stay with WSA.

Thanks for the reply. My biggest issue is not setting things to allow, etc but that when I remove them from the list Webroot still blocks copy and paste. It's incredibly frustrating for a hobby programmer like myself because I'm cutting and pasting a lot and working with a lot of third party programs.
I wouldn't have a big issue with it if I could customize it better. If the idenity sheild would just let me turn of cut and paste checks, everything would be fine but it seems to be an all or nothing option, and the others there are nice!

I am somewhat confused when you say "...but that when I remove them from the list Webroot still blocks copy and paste.". I think, if I have understood correctly that this is your issue. The apps that you are cutting & pasting into need to be recorded under Identity Protection with a status of 'Protect', if not then WSA will jump in and block the paste. As it states in the online help test:
"Protect — Protected applications are secured against information-stealing malware, but also have full access to data on the system. You might want to add financial management software to the category. When you run a protected application, the Webroot icon in the system tray displays a padlock".
You can turn off the Identity Shield; you just need to click on the 'Identity Protection' tab and move the relevant slider to the 'Off' position, enter the requested CAPTCHA characters and that should be it...the ongoing issue will be (i) you have lost all identioty protection proved by the Shield & (ii) you will be contatntly notifed by WSA that you have an issue; i.e., the Shield being 'off'.
I think that you need to make sure that you log all apps/files that you will cut & paste to under Identity Protection and leave them registered there.
As I said, I may have misunderstood you and if I have please accept my apologies for that and let me know where I am oing wrong.
