Recent scan which was initiated by the software itself shows there are five threats. They all relate to Seagate Backup Plus Drive. Sorry I am not able to provide any details since my knowledge is limited in this area. Could anyone please advise what could have happened? Many thanks for your help.

Hi p410

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may add to what BD has posted...it is possible that files or executables related to Seagate Backup Plus have been updated and that during a scan the change has been discovered by WSA. If so then WSA would then have checked back in the Cloud to try to determine whether the new files/exes are 'good' or 'bad' and, not being able to find them because the latest versions have yet to be updated in the Cloud, has marked them as 'bad' and then quarantined them.

if that is the case then as BD has correctly explained you can restore them from quarantine but they may get 'redetected' (depending on your Advanced Settings) then be quarantined again.

To get around this you would be best advised to follow BD's advice and open a support ticket so that the Support Team can take a look and hopefully whitelist the files/exes in the Cloud, for future reference.

Hope that helps further?

Hello ?

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

Threats detected by Webroot will be moved to quarantine.

Once items are moved to quarantine, they are disabled and cannot harm your computer. However, you may want to delete or restore quarantined items in the following circumstances:
 • If you want to conserve disk space, you can delete the items permanently.
 • If you discover that a program is not working correctly without the quarantined item, you can restore it. In rare cases, a piece of spyware is an integral part of a legitimate program and is required to run that program.
To view and manage items in quarantine:
 1. Open SecureAnywhere.
 2. Click PC Security.
 3. Click Quarantine, then click View Quarantine.
 4. If you want to delete or restore the item, click in its checkbox to select it. You can then do either of the following:
5. If you want to remove the item permanently, click Erase. Be aware that after erasing it, you can never restore the item.
 6. If you want to move the item back to its original location, click Restore. When an item is restored, SecureAnywhere will no longer detect it during scans. If you want the item to be detected again in the future, you can change its detection rules.
This will show you where on your computer the threats were detected. If you let us know the threats that were detected and where on your computer they were found we may be able to give you more information.

If you are still unsure and would like support to have a look please submit a trouble ticket. This is a free service for Webroot customers with an active/current subscription.

Hope this info helps,

BD
